چکیده
In this study, various treated, untreated, and treated kenaf/glass fiber composites were fabricated using epoxy resin. A portion of kenaf fibers subjected to treatment with alkali, sub-portion was taken for benzoyl peroxide potassium permanganate prior composite fabrication. This on the material undertaken achieve improved modification interface between matrix bond. glass used enhancing mechanical properties hybrid composite. The tensile strength, flexural, density, water absorption chemical resistance analyzed standard methods. FTIR conducted ascertain fibers, FESEM morphological study. results obtained showed that flexural strength from 46.45-298.3 kgf, 10.5-54.7 respectively, in samples. Chemical compared untreated both cases. density found decrease composites, less density. result revealed reaction has place reagent. Hence, due increase fiber-matrix interaction.

Creep Behavior of Basalt and Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites
The creep behavior of basalt fiber reinforced epoxy (BFRE) and glass fiber reinforced epoxy (GFRE) composites was studied through tensile testing at high temperature. To study the effect of reinforcing epoxy, the micro glass powder (MGP) was added at various volume percentage into the epoxy resin in BFRE composites. The initial strain for all the specimens were evaluated and compared with each ...
متن کاملMECHANICAL CHARACTERIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF RANDOMLY DISTRIBUTED SHORT BANANA FIBER REINFORCED EPOXY COMPOSITES
Short banana fiber reinforced composites have been prepared in laboratory to determine mechanical properties. It has been observed that as soon as the percentage of the banana fiber increases slightly there is a tremendous increase in ultimate tensile strength, % of strain and young modulus of elasticity. Reinforcement of banana fibers in epoxy resin increases stiffness and decreases damping pr...
متن کاملImpact and Hardness Properties of Areca Fiber-Epoxy Reinforced Composites
Natural Fibers composites are considered to have potential use as reinforcing material in polymer matrix composites because of their good strength, stiffness, low cost, environmental friendly and biodegradable. In present study, mechanical properties for natural fiber composites were evaluated. Here, areca fiber is used as new natural fiber reinforcement and epoxy resin as matrix. The extracted...
متن کاملEnhancement of mechanical and electrical properties of continuous-fiber-reinforced epoxy composites with stacked graphene
Impregnation of expandable graphite (EG) after thermal treatment with an epoxy resin containing surface-active agents (SAAs) enhanced the intercalation of epoxy monomer between EG layers and led to further exfoliation of the graphite, resulting in stacks of few graphene layers, so-called "stacked" graphene (SG). This process enabled electrical conductivity of cured epoxy/SG composites at lower ...
متن کاملFatigue behaviour of nanoclay reinforced epoxy resin composites
Nanoparticle filling is a feasible way to increase the mechanical properties of polymer matrices. Abundant research work has been published in the last number of years concerning the enhancement of the mechanical properties of nanoparticle filled polymers, but only a reduced number of studies have been done focusing on the fatigue behaviour. This work analyses the influence of nanoclay reinforc...
